My-Lai Tower, in Jokinami City, is the home of Foris Corp, and their newest facility. Two hundred stories high, it functions to house, feed, equip, and manage the employees of the corporation. The building is built to the standards of a multi-plane company, and has a few oddities because of this.
It is in the shape of a massive obelisk, tall, smooth, uniform across the outside, peaked by a pyramid on the top. The grounds around it are made of red marble, a stone not produced in the world it was built in. Smaller white obelisks surround it like a forest, in uniform rank and file, leaving a broad path from the street to the entrance.
The layout is detailed, in part, below.
Floor 1:
The first oddity, there appears to be no doors leading into the building. That is, until one walks between the columns that surround the exterior. As one passes through, the walls seem to become transparent, and allow anything through with no more resistance than a light breeze. Three elevators rise from the lobby higher into the tower. This lobby is huge, and empty, with only a smooth black floor, divided into a grid of four foot wide squares. Upon these, the occasional employee may be seen suddenly appearing, and then moving about according to their business.
Floors 2-20
The most mundane section of the building, this is where the various office work of the corporation takes place. Accounting, logistical planning, and simple note-taking. However, all manner of beings may be found here, from humans, to demons, to all manner of alien life. Don't go to floor thirteen, it is entirely populated by Accounters, demonic entities of a world whose mortals are all giant spiders. Basically, they're the results of nightmares of nightmares. But they're good with numbers.
Floors 21-50
Massive computers reside here, powering the work of offices below, plus a few other functions not available for public disclosure.
Floors 51-100
Warehouses full of all sorts of bizarre and wonderful things, in containment secure enough to put the SCP foundation to shame. The upper ten (90-100) are devoted to equipment for employees.
Floor 101
A high ceiling-ed level of the building, it is the testing labs. Whether by technological wonders, arcane rituals, or the invoked power of gods, items of interest are tested upon this level, and are restricted to but a few. This floor is also the source of the Void Light, a powerful relic that shines like a lighthouse through the abyss that lies between worlds, and even into the many worlds themselves. They are the 'North' by which the Ethereal Compasses are tuned.
Floors 102-190
Eighty-eight stories of housing, a total of 880 units, with a maximum capacity, under extreme need, of nearly 4,500 people.
Floors 191-193
Kitchens/dining halls, preparing foods fit for a thousand different species, as needed. Open-leveled, they form broad, galleries chambers, supplemented by personal dining areas.
Floors 194-199
The upper offices, for the administration and directorial roles, as well as meetings with high-profile clients.
Floor 200
This room contains the interior of the pyramid, and from this spot, it becomes apparent that the pyramid is built of one-way glass, allowing anyone inside to peer out over Jokinami city. There is just one problem. There are no doors, elevators, or stairs leading to this room. However, with Foris Corp, that is hardly restrictive...
